Kim Tsao
FRCBA Faculty
Kim started ballet as an adult in San Francisco in 2006 and was overwhelmed with feelings of ineptitude, flailing next to extremely coordinated and flexible teenagers. Something kept bringing her back though, and over the years it all started to make a little more sense. After moving to Fort Collins, she found her happy place at FRCBA in 2013, and under the direction of Ixchel Levendosky started teaching a few years later. Whether students are coming back to ballet after a long hiatus or trying it for the first time, she teaches from the perspective of someone starting out just like she did. Adults learning ballet have advantages over younger students that often go unappreciated! When not at the studio, she works as the lead data scientist for the Chief Data Officer of the US Dept of Agriculture.
