Raising the Sparks by the Heartbeat Ballet

Join us June 15th, 7:30pm at the Lincoln Center for Raising the Sparks, a show by The Heartbeat Ballet.

Poet Kit West, musician Yaakov Finer, and The Heartbeat Ballet, directed by Ixchel Levendosky, join forces to immerse you in a potent and evocative evening. Raising the Sparks is a collaboration of words and movement that expresses the delicate moment when the observer and the observed become one, the moment when the self fades into the beauty it sees, or the suffering it witnesses, a unique alchemy that just might be the true way to do good in the world.

“Each man has a sphere of being in space and time which is allotted to him to be redeemed through him. Places which are heavy with unraised sparks and in which souls are fettered wait for the man who will come to them with the word of freedom.” Martin Buber

Heartbeat Ballet is part of our Dance Arts Network and Continuing Education non-profit. The dancers of the Heartbeat Ballet are passionate about bringing outreach performances to the Northern Colorado Community. Explore more about the company by clicking the button above.
