Where are you located?

We are located at 3501 South Mason St, Unit#1, Fort Collins, CO.  We have one large studio and one small studio, both with custom-built sprung dance floors for prevention of chronic foot, leg, and back injuries.

As an adult just starting ballet for the first time, will I fit in at FRCBA?

FRCBA has a large population of adults in the studio, many of whom are beginners or near-beginners. You are sure to find a welcoming home here and not feel out of place. We have had beginners here starting in their 60's! All students are welcomed, appreciated, and given the time and attention they need to achieve their realistic goals.

As an experienced adult dancer, how will I fit in here?

FRCBA is proud to have a high percentage of adult dancers of all ages, abilities and experience levels. There are classes appropriate for adults of all technique levels, including advanced dancers. Many students who have come here as adults have developed deep and lasting friendships with their classmates and have found a great deal of fulfillment and joy in taking class and performing with FRCBA.

Is this curriculum appropriate for my dancer’s age and abilities?

Pre-Ballet Ages 3-5:  We work on jumps, hops, skips, leaps, chassées, and other loco-motor movements. Some tumbling skills such as forward/backward rolls, cartwheels and bridges may be practiced for flexibility and strength in core and upper body. We use imagination, props, storytelling, dynamics, and space exploration to teach young dancers about movement and creativity within set boundaries.

Intro to Ballet Ages 6-9: Dancers begin their classical training at the ballet barre with growing focus and attention to body awareness and placement. Freedom to move within boundaries given is practiced at the end of each class.

Ages 7+: Dancers are taught classical ballet curriculum based on Vaganova technique. Students will be trained and guided as appropriate to achieve their realistic goals - whether those goals are recreational or professional.

How do I drop off/pick up my dancer?

Please bring dancers no more than 10 minutes early to class.

Please remove your street shoes at the studio door to keep our dance floors clean.

Please take your dancer to the restroom before class. Be sure they can manage that alone as instructors will not be able to help during class, unless a problem occurs.
