Pre-Professional Program / Enhanced Adult Training

FRCBA offers a Pre-Professional Add-On Program for intermediate and advanced level students interested in pursuing a professional career in ballet. By invitation or audition, this program provides extensive serious training to prepare students for professional ballet companies. Students in the program are expected to attend a minimum of 6 hours/week of ballet technique (and pointe for girls/women) and 1 hour/week of another dance style at their home studio (FRCBA or elsewhere) which would be supplemented with the Pre-Pro Add-On Program consisting of 4.5 hours/week of ballet technique and pointe classes and 3.5 hours/week of Advanced Turns & Jumps, Advanced Conditioning & Stretching, Special seminars, Advanced Variations, etc. The Pre-Pro Add-On program happens two days a week between 1:30 pm and 3:30 pm.

The Enhanced Adult Training Program (EATP) is for adults ages 22 + who wish to train at a more serious level than offered through the regular programming, but for whom the ‘‘Pre-Pro Program’’ is not fully appropriate. This may be for adults seeking work in musical theatre, as dance teachers, or who just wish to fulfill their dreams of ballet training at a higher level. These classes happen at the same time as the Pre-Pro and are a shorter amount of time.

For FRCBA students, this program is $150/month on top of the regular classes fee; for students joining the program while attending another studio, the Pre-Pro Add-On program is $250/month.
